Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tracer AI, Inc. (“Tracer”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Tracer website, dashboard, API, and command-line tools (the “Service”). Tracer AI, Inc. is a Delaware corporation.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you provide them, your name, company, role, and how you heard about us. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
- Content you submit. Traces, inputs, labels, and files you upload or send to the Service (for example through a scan, a tracer, or the API) so we can process them and return results.
- Usage and device data. Product analytics and basic technical data (pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location from IP, browser type) collected to operate and improve the Service. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and analytics.
- Billing data. If and when paid features are enabled, payment details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To route your requests: when you use routing, your inputs are sent to the model providers you select in order to generate results.
- To communicate with you about your account, support, and product updates.
- To understand usage and improve features and reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content you submit to train models for other customers. Where you use training features, we train routing models for your own account from the content you provide.
3. Service providers
We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations:
- Hosting, database, authentication, and storage for running the Service.
- Content delivery and edge compute for serving and embedding.
- Product analytics (hosted in the EU) and transactional email.
- Model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) that you choose as teachers or fallbacks, which receive the inputs you route to them.
- A payment processor, only if paid features are enabled.
4. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data, which we will honor subject to any retention required by law. Retention periods may change as the Service evolves.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also delete your account, which removes your associated data subject to legal retention requirements.
7. International transfers
We operate primarily in the United States and may process data in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
